Our Wolf Dog Jacy

Welcome graphic

Jacy was born April 6, 2007 in rural Grainger County Tennessee.  We adopted her June 30, 2006.  In the beginning, we kept her indoors with our two Chihuahuas.  Potty training was a nightmare.  At first we took her out every 15 minutes. As time went by it seemed she could never find just the right place to go; however, she did find a spot indoors.  We gave up and invested in a fence, finally, Jacy was free to run her legs off and potty wherever she desired.

Still Jacy was a handfull.  For the next few months, it was on unusual for Jacy to jump on us and, at times, knock us to the ground.  We fed her well and purchased many toys to keep her occupied.  She loved "squeeky" toys and could often be heard late at night just "squeeking away".
Jacy loved the rain and many times we noticed her lying on a tree stump in the rain.  She would pull her bedding from beneth the deck into the open yard and lie in the rain.

As time went by, we, somewhat, educated ourselves on Wolf Dogs.  We dicided it would be a good idea to find Jacy a mate.  An older, settled, male dog might be the right fix for Jacy and her behavioral problems.  We checked the classifieds, local humane societies and friends.

Then we found, Jackson, a lab mix, at the local humane society.  Jackson had had a rough life and had lost an eye, but he was so sweet and calm.  We brought Jacy to meet Jackson.  It was love at first sight.
